Central Park International bounced back in style after a winless run of 4 games with a 6-0 romp over The Usual Suspects on Sunday. A hat-trick from Murugesan and a goal each from Soerensen, Naoki and Jason ensured that team will look to finish among the promotional places with 4 games to go after this win.

The team started on the backfoot as the opposition looked to gain an early foothold and were always dangerous from their long throws in the box. They could have taken a much deserved lead just 5 minutes into the game. With Iskandar stranded, TUS forward managed to catch the former off his line but despite beating Iskandar, the crossbar denied them. That seemed to awaken the Sharks from their slumber and against the run of play, Fiet found Murugesan lurking just beside his marker. The latter took his chance with aplomb and gave his team the lead, abeit undeservedly and he then notched two more goals in the half to give his team a commanding 3-0 lead just before half-time.

Plenty of changes being made to the side and the 2nd half barely started before Soerensen added the fourth. More goals were to come and Naoki who was having a personal goal drought took full opportunity of Soerensen pull back in the 57th minute before Jason scored Sharks sixth of the game with just 5 minutes remaining after a clever thru pass by Dung. The team had a goal disallowed in the 2nd half by Duc and several opportunities that fell to the likes of Azmeen, Dung, Yash and Marco were not capitalise while TUS had the great opportunity to grab their consolation when they were awarded a freekick inside the penalty but they were unable to capitalise on the opportunity.

The manager said after the game, 'The team was certainly boosted by news being broken to them just before the game and it shows in the game. They are starting to enjoy the game again and morale in the team has never been better as we looked to finish the season strongly.'
