The Sharks were hoping to capitalise on the leaders loss last weekend against Interstar as they face off Redstar Woodgroove over at Cantonment. The boys took the lead in the first half before the opposition drew parity minutes before halftime. With the game heading for a draw, Redstar notched the winner as they consolidate their position at the top.

The match started with the team welcoming back Heng Li from injury and his contribution were almost instant in the game when his back flick found Naem in the first few minutes of the game but the latter fluffed his chance, shooting directly against the onrushing custodian. Redstar however were always in control of the game with Sharks having no answer against their resolute and creative midfield but the boys in white created more goalscoring opportunities only to be denied by numerous calls for offside. Nonetheless, they took the lead against the run of play when Norazman found Heng Li with a peach of a pass and the latter rounded off the custodian to give his team the lead. Just when the Sharks were going to the break with a slim lead, they conceded a penalty after Spencer was adjudged to have brought down his man unfairly. Despite Budihati who was in goal having a hand in the resulting penalty, he was unable to push the ball out as the game ended leveled at halftime. Second-half started with the team having to take Heng Li off after he aggravated his injury again as the team repelled waves and waves of Redstar attack. It was only a matter of time that the defense were breached and with only 5 minutes to fulltime, a school boy error committed in front of the penalty area by Kit allowed Redstar to sneak pass the static defense with a poacher's winner.

The manager commented, 'We would have been happy to come away with a draw in the game. Full marks to Redstar for taking that chance. It was a bad area to give away the ball and the Sharks were duly punished.'
