A lethargic, listless and a toothless International side went down 0-4 against Greats Football Club on Sunday over at West Spring Secondary School. With no recognised forward in the lineup for the game, it was clearly an uphill task when they went down 0-2 in the first half and for the duration of the game, Sharks got no more than 1 single shot at goal in a match they would clearly want to forget quickly.

The opposition started the game brightly and were clearly on top in the opening exchanges as Sharks were found wanting in almost every department. They were clearly second best on a day where the boys in black were the hungrier between the two teams and they were duly rewarded when some slack marking over at the far side allowed the opposition to sneak in with a headed goal. Shortly afterwards, it proved to be a long afternoon for the boys in yellow when the defense were caught ball watching and chasing shadows. Down 0-2, Sharks were unable to move into its 2nd gear and were fortunate only to go down by 2 goals at half-time. The second-half barely kicked off when Greats scored another thumper. This time Daniel was beaten all the way as the ball found the back of the net leaving Daniel with no chance. As Sharks tried to make a game out of the match, they conceded a penalty midway into the second half which was duly dispatched. The result left the International team with their worst ever defeat since its inception.

The manager commented, 'In short, it was just one of those days where somehow every player would realise that they didn't play very well. Without a recognised forward for the game, it was always going to be tough to come back after going down 2-0 at half-time.
