FAS clarification on the FA Cup

The FAS Competitions Department have clarified on the note sent to the FAS President, Assoc. Prof Mr Ho Peng Kee with regards to the inclusion of affiliated clubs entry into the 2006 FA Cup competition.

Mr Quah Kim Song, member of the Competitions Department have clarified that while affiliated clubs are allowed entry to the competition for the first time last year, entry however are thru a strict selection process so that the competitiveness of the competition is not compromised. It was however noted that FAS will be open to review CPFC entry into the competition by way of sending technical teams to CPFC games to gauge the team strength and competitiveness if the club so requires. With the competition draw just weeks away and the club inability to call upon a full strength team, it have thus been decided that CPFC will not proceed with their plan to enter in this year competition.
