Central Park grinded a fortuitous victory over Kool N The Gang in their 2nd match in the EOEFL Cup over at Ulu Pandan Camp which in truth, both teams were unable to get to terms with the sordid state of the field in terms of width and poor marking of the field.

The game saw Soerensen keeping goal for the Sharks with Muzzammil taking centre-stage in midfield. The first half was a bore to say the least as both teams were unable to churn out any quality in their passing. However Sharks were on top on various occasion of the match but were unable to trouble KNTG's goal. In the other end, the opposition craved out opportunities of their own but Vincent was at his majestic best as he covered and controlled his defense to repel any dangers posed. The first half ended goal-less with the manager particularly unimpressed with the pattern of play from his team. In the second half, Muzzammil collected the ball in the middle in the 55th minute and tried his luck from a distance. Though the quality of the shot was not what we would expect from him, it caught KNTG custodian flat-flooted as Muzzammil's shot deflected from one of the opposition defenders and flew into the back of the net. As the game wore on, Sharks were pegged back into their half but they could have settled the match with another goal but the likes of Jason, Kit, Chris and Naem left their shooting boots at home. Central Park should have been rewarded a penalty when Naem was brought down in the box but the referee found no issues with the lunging tackle but Sharks held on for the win to keep them in contention for the next round in the Cup.

The manager commented, 'For a competitive game, the pitch was a letdown. It was more suited for a 7 or 9 a side game. The referee on the other hand, we are not sure if he knows that it was a competitive or a friendly game with numerous obscene foul throws going unnoticed. It was just terrible.'
