Match Report

For two weeks in a row, Sharks were unable to complete their game. This week however, it was mother's nature wrath as the skies opened up 30mins into the first-half. Despite signs that the clouds will clear, both teams decide that the pitch was unplayable and the match was called off.

The match started with Sharks on the backfoot for most of the game and before long, they were a goal down in the 12th min after Daniel was beaten off a free-kick. While Sharks defence held firm, they were unable to gain any foothold in midfield or attack. Michael had a chance to level the score when the opposition custodian fumbled but he regained his composure to clear the ball for a corner. Shortly afterwards, Michael again was in the thick of action as he claimed strongly for a penalty after being bundled in the box but his claims were brushed off by the man-in-black. As the skies threatened to open-up, they were awarded a free-kick just outside the box. Jeremy beautifully-flighted ball found the back of the net as he have always done in such situations to level the game. As Temasek restarted the game, the referee blew for the whistle for both teams to run for cover as flashes of lightning could be seen hovering the playing area. Despite enthusiasms from both teams to restart the game, it was decided that the field was unplayable.
