Sharks ended the year on a high note as they notched a 4-2 win over Bricklands at Chinese Recreation Club. The win meant that it will be a photo-finish till the end of the season with the top 4 teams seperated by only 4 points.

The game started with both teams having problems with the atrocious state of the pitch made worse by the monsoon season in this time of the year. Nonetheless, Jeremy Lee gave his team an early lead 10 minutes into the game with a fortuitous effort before a goal-mouth scramble presented Bricklands to equalise midway into the first half as the game ended all square at the end of the first half. In the second-half, a one-two between Heng Li and Kit provided the latter with an opportunity to give his team the lead and he took it with aplomb. Shortly afterwards,  Kit returned the favor as he set up Heng Li for Sharks third, much to his relief after missing a glut of opportunities. But shortly after the restart, Bricklands pulled a goal back to make it 3-2 before some unselfish play by Heng Li allowed Muzzammil to give his team the two goal cushion again. The flashpoint of the game occured shortly when Bricklands had a man sent off for violent conduct. A kick right on the head aimed at Matthew. Things began to boil over and the opposition had another man sent off shortly afterwards as Sharks run out the game with all 3 points.

The manager commented, 'It's a good win for the team but the incident was disgraceful. A kick on the head when the man is down could have resulted in serious repercussion and to think that this is the same team that somehow aim to conduct a youth team after being absorbed by some Constituency is appalling. Their conduct on the pitch when the chips are down are just a sorry sight.'
