Sharks inability to find the net meant that their 4 game winning streak came to a halt against Bonjol Wanderers, going down 0-1 after a woeful misjudgment by Sharks custodian Isa who turn the ball into his own net. It was perhaps a cruel blow for the custodian who have so far the been the last pillar of strength in the Sharks backline and his only misjudgment was enough to send his team to crashing to their first defeat. A goal down going into the break, the Sharks came back strongly in the second-half. It was heartbreaking to see the boys squandered chances after chances that came their way. Heng Li was denied in a one-on-one situation which he would have scored on any other day, Hazli came close with a dipping shot with only Bonjol custodian to beat, Jiawen shot tamely directly into the custodian after a thru ball from midfield and Brendan was unlucky in the closing moments with a header that just graze the crossbar. The game could have gone on for another 40mins and the Sharks will still not score, that's just the day the Sharks were having in the scorching weather. While it's simple to blame lady luck on the Sharks misfortunes in front of goal, the fact remains that if you don't score, you don't win matches. That's the beauty of football.

With the league only 5 games old, the Sharks will have to learn to move on and look forward to the next 2 tough game. The defeat meant that the Sharks dropped down from 3rd to 6th place in the table with 12 points from 4 wins and 1 defeat but with at least 1 game in hand from most of the top 5 teams.
