Central Park v Aces Utd
In a match which bear little consequences in terms of their league position, Sharks rested most of its players to recuperate fully before the start of their participation in the Clementeers League. On the other hand however, Aces Utd needed a victory to cement their second place in the league.
Kelvin Tan was therefore handed the captain's armband in the absence of Sharks captain Jeremy and vice-captain Salihin. Sharks started the game in a relaxed mood and it wasn't long when Aces took the lead after some bad defending. Shortly afterwards they were caught by surprise when against the run of play, Ryan was first to the ball off a cross from Kit to level the score. It stayed that way till the end of the first half with neither side unable to create any useful chances. Second-half was a different affair when Aces moved into second gear to take the lead for the second time before adding another 3 goals to cement their 2nd position in the league. At the end of the day, Ryan's first half goal proved to be only a mere consolation for the Sharks.
As the final whistle blew, it signaled the end of their debut season in the Goal Arena Amateur League.
