Central Park docked 3pts
In the aftermath of the incident in the match against CNA, the Sharks have been deducted 3pts for their part in the mass misconduct. On top of that, Amran will be suspended for 4 matches for his involvment in the incident while Shah and another trialist has been banned for the duration of the tournament. Despite the hefty punishment, Sharks will be penalised for a sum decided by the committee.
While the manager have prepared for the worst, he was visibly unhappy by the monetary fine. He said, ‘The report by the referee was definitely not a true reflection of the episode. How can one know the details of the episode by standing 20m from the incident? If only he was astute as keeping a precise timing of the incident then we will have no arguments.’
On being monetary penalised, he shot back, ‘You must be kidding that the organiser have the cheek to ask for that. Where does this sum goes to? Are they under some registered body that we are not aware of? The whole league was already badly organised with unplanned fixtures which are released 2 days prior to a game. The news of teams pulling out means that at most we would have 6-7 games to go before the conclusion of the league. Do we want to pay to any Tom, Dick or Harry just so that we can complete these games?’
With the team out of the league, they will engage in friendly matches before the start of their participation in ESPZEN in August.
