Braveland v Central Park

Sharks continued their fine form in the New Year when they notched their second win in as many matches when they came out clear winners against Braveland FC with Heng Li notching a hat-trick on his debut for the first team. The signs were there when he created havoc for the opposition with his darting runs and created the first two goals which were converted by Suhaime and Brendan before he scored two to give the Sharks a 4-0 lead at halftime. The second-half started in similar fashion with Sharks dominating the proceedings. Brendan however were quick to capitalise on a defensive lapse 5mins into the second-half but were unlucky not to grab his second for the game when he was brought down unfairly in the box. Up step Salihin who converted the penalty which gave the Braveland custodian no chance. Sharks captain Jeremy then opened his accounts in 2005 when he finished off a loose ball after a goal-mouth melee before Heng Li completed the rout with his hat-trick 10mins before time. Kudos however to Braveland FC which kept running throughout the match to keep the Sharks on its toes. They had a perfect opportunity to score a consolation goal late in the game but the striker skive his shot with only Isa to beat after he broke free of the Sharks offside trap.
