When queried if his retirement coincide with the team having the worst defensive record in Season 14, the manager commented, 'It's a team game and no one individual is responsible.'
He added, 'The retirement was something that was brought up a couple of seasons ago but the defender were convinced to stay on for a couple of seasons more thus this time round, I guess I have used up my trump card to get him to reconsider his decision.'
