A shocking incident was reported in the match-up between Crescent Villa and Tiong Bahru at Tanglin on Saturday with reports coming out that the match was abandoned after an assault on a match referee from three Tiong Bahru players. Though it remains unclear what transpired before the incident, Crescent Villa was leading by a goal to nil at that point of time. If the report of this ugly incident is true, the Disciplinary Committee will make sure that it comes down hard on the guilty parties and club.

In the other matches, Summerville and Sporting Westlake notched their first point of the season with 1-0 and 2-0 win over PUB and Elias Park respectively while Redhill Rangers snatched a point with a 1-1 draw against Singapore Power.

This weekend, it’s a match against top and bottom as Singapore Power host Central Park at Tanglin 4. The top billing of the week will be the match which pit Sunrise and Tiong Bahru at Farrer Park. Over at Tanglin 3, Sporting Westlake will play host to Crescent Villa while Summerville will entertain Elias Park at Tanglin 1. PUB on the other hand will look to bounce back against Redhill Rangers at the PUB Ground.
