With only one game left this weekend before Sharks proceed to a historic participation in the FAS Islandwide League, the management would like to assure the players that weekly games will remain in the form of non-competitive games especially for those players not eligible for registrations in the competition which is only open to local players. Another interesting news could be the re-organisation of a second team in view of participation in a competitive league rather than just a platform for players to play leisurely.  While it would be great to send 2 teams to participate in the current ESPZEN league, details still remain sketchy as the management decide in the weeks ahead on the financial viability of such a commitment and most importantly, the commitment of these players.

The manager commented, ‘The most important aspect of sending 2 teams in a competitive league like ESPZEN is firstly whether it’s financial viable and whether these 2 teams can compete competitively. We have to be honest that some of our players are just not getting that regular playing time during the competition while they would have walk literally into any other team to play regularly. The club always look at long-term developement and commitment rather than just a stop-gap measure to fulfil its ambition. It’s a balancing act which we hope to resolve and ultimately feel that these arrangement would strengthen the team as players are being exposed to more competitive action.’
