Shaggies v Central Park
02/01/05

The statistics have shown that it is not common for Chris or Chiu to score in a game. So it was a special day for the Sharks yesterday against their opposition Shaggies when both decides to add their name to the tally for the new year and their goals was enough for the team to register a 2-0 win in a water-logged pitch at Bradell-Westlake. The rain which fell relentlessly since Sunday morning was not going to dampen the Sharks spirits when 17 players turn out for the game. The Sharks was always in control of the game and the defence were seldom threatened. Both teams however ended the game leveled at the break, taking some time to adjust to the playing conditions. The Sharks however were unlucky not to take the lead in the first half when several shots ended in the patches of water all over the penalty area. The second half however eased some pressures off the Sharks which were looking to register their first win this year when Chris latched on a rebound after good work from Suhaime. Another goal from Chiu 10 mins before the end sealed the win.
