Season 7 kicks off

Season 7 kicks off this Sunday with Division 8 match between Simei United running out 2-0 winners over Bricklands and Redstar Woodgrove notching a 2-1 win over Assumption United. Central Park will be sending two teams in the new season and they will ply their trade in Division 6 for the Internation team which as the name suggest, will comprise the club’s multi-national players while the other team, named Central Park will start their maiden season in ESPZEN and will comprise of local players.

With the team now out of the National Football League having been relegated last month, ESPZEN will be the club platform to rebuild a team for next year Islandwide League and it is hoped that with two teams participating competitvely, players will be able to get the much needed competitive playing experiences. Both teams will kick off their season at the Chinese Recreation Club next Sunday with the International team being pitched against Raptors who missed out after losing their playoff game for promotion to Division 5 while the next game at the same venue will feature FC team opening their accounts against Interstar.
