Sharks left-back Najib went under the knives on Monday and remains on course for a full recovery from his injury setback after going through a successful 2 hour operation at Changi Hospital. Najib is currently recuperating at home after being discharged on Wednesday morning.

It is understood that the player season is over after the specialist advised him to rest completely for the next 5 months. He added, ‘For this type of injury, it’s best to rest the foot completely. After 5 months, the player is only advised to do some light jogging for at least 2-3 months. The next barrier would be the physiological effect of the player after his nightmare injury.’

Najib who is currently on a week-long vacation from his National Service is currently upbeat to be back on the field training with the Sharks after his recovery. However, he is quite disappointed as his injury would be a setback for his ambition to be a full-time combat personnel. The players and the people from Newton Heath FC wishes him a full recovery.
