Marina Bay beckons for SharksSharks looks set to take on the field at the Marina Bay Floating Platform for their upcoming fixture against Matador Football Club in their Division 3 game this Sunday. Playing for the first time at the venue, the players are excited at the prospect of playing at the marquee venue.
The floating platform is located on the waters of the Marina Reservoir, in Marina Bay and is the world's largest floating platform. Nonetheless, the venue come at a cost of $400 per team though many of the player did not buldge on the price tag with some of the players being quoted 'An experience of a lifetime.'
Despite the novelty of the venue, Sharks will look to build on their great opening victory against Barclays last weekend. The manager commented, 'There were a couple of occasions where an opportunity was thrown to all league teams for having games in such a venue including the National Stadium but somehow, Marina Bay is a different thing altogether.'
The manager smiled and gave a parting shot, 'Let's hope the team doesn't get overawed by the venue. Afterall, it's still a league game.
