EOEFL Cup kicks off

The EOEFL Cup (Edmund Optics Equatorial Football League) will kick off this coming Saturday with a slew of first round games. Central Park will be sending a combined team from both the International and FC team which will suplement their participation in ESPZEN. The games will be played in single robin group matches with the top two teams from each group advancing to the knock-out Quarter-Final stage played in a home-away format with the teams with the higher goal-difference advancing to the next round.

Central Park has been drawn into Group A against the likes of defending champion British Club who they will face off this Saturday at Bukit Timah along with the likes of Young Guns United and Kool N The Gang to be played on 27th Oct and 1 Dec 2007 respectively. In group B, St Andrew’s FC, Credit Suisse and Fighting Cocks made up the trio of teams while group C will be represented by NUS Longwind, Tembusu and Johor Kings. As for group D, South Bouna Vista Saints, J-Heat, Cochise and Titans make up the quartet.

The weekend game between Raptors and the International team earlier this morning has been postponed due to stormy weather around the whole island, the second consecutive postponement for the team. Next Sunday, a double header awaits as Royals Sports entertain the International side while Loco Quadrilla will face off against the FC team.
