Central Park v Veteran Utd
06/02/05

Sharks went down to yet another game after a calamitous sending off of Salihin in the 65th minute. The Sharks were totally out of shape for the duration of the game after missing several regular players. Notable absentees were in defence which include the likes of Sarhan, Sulaiman and Irman and it got worse after the sending off of Salihin for a second bookable offence. Booked earlier for a questionable handball, anger got the better of him when he fouled and abused the referee. The referee was right to show him the second yellow card though. The loss of several players in defence meant that Sharks were lightweight at the back and with the inclusion of some players who made an appearances after a long absence, the fluidity were just missing. Despite the setback, Heng Li put the Sharks ahead early in the second-half but Veterans Utd almost replied instantly after poor control of Congo in defence. Sharks by now must be kicking themselves after they allow several chances to go to waste and with Salihin's sending off, the big gap in defence were instantly exposed. It was no surprise then when Veterans Utd scored the winner, this time again from an error from Isa after a misunderstanding in defence.
