With Sharks missing several key players for yet another week due work and personal commitments than anything else, the Sharks manager had no choice but to blood some members from the reserve team and at the same time, welcoming back Nawi who made his first appearance in 2005 after last donning the Sharks jersey on 22 Aug 2004 due to National Service.

The Sharks kicked off to a storming start when they took the lead in the first 5 min when an innocuous cross from Jiawen somehow deceived everyone and floated into the net. But if the Sharks thought the game was going to be a stroll in the park, Sin Ma pulled leveled after poor marking from Zhenxiong. The exchanges were coming fast and furious from both teams and just when both teams are going nowhere with their attacks, Nawi broke the offside trap and coolly finishes off to give the Sharks the lead at the break.

Second-half started with Sin Ma trying to make inroads into their game but were constantly caught offside by a composed Sharks defence marshaled by Salihin. The Sharks vice-captain capped his resolute display with a goal off a free-kick from 25 yards to take his impressive season tally for a defender to 5 goals albeit all from either set-pieces and off the spot. With 15mins to go, Sin Ma however pulled one back to setup a tense finale before debutant Sam settled the game with a simple tap-in after good work from Man of The Match Syafiee on the left who thoroughly deserved the award after some tireless display.
