Central Park v East of Anfield
19/06/05

Having deprived of its charismatic captain in Jeremy for this game, Sharks were left to rue its chances when they had to start the game missing almost half its full team. The only highlight of the game was the return of Kelvin Tan and Aaron Huang which are back after their studies stint. On top of that, Sharks welcomed yet another new member of the family, Chouchou which hailed from the land of the rising sun and will feature more in the coming months due to his work commitments here. Winning by a narrow margin of 2-1 in their first encounter with East of Anfield (EOA), the Sharks knew they were in trouble right from the kickoff. To say that EOA was dominating the play will be an understatement, in fact Sharks were run ragged for the duration of the game and had less than 5 shots at goal. The Sharks were lucky to only go a goal down at the end of the first half. Second-half started and with most of the legs fast tiring, the game was already in the bag for EOA after they bagged a couple before ending the Sharks misery late in the second-half coming up tops with a 4-0 scoreline. The manager commented 'We have to accept that our team depth is just non-existence and not ready to step up when we do miss the regulars. That is something we need to rectify when we consolidate at the end of the season.'
