Central Park v Dinos
13/02/05

Two smashing goal from Heng Li was enough to end Sharks slumber in recent weeks when they registered a 2-1 win against Dino's Team. However the truth is that the Sharks were lucky to come away with a anything at all in this game after a collective of poor display from most of the Sharks players. The first-half display was atrocious to say the least after changes were made tactically. While skeptics may want to point out that maybe it could be due to the festivities hangover and a pre-Valentine's Day blues, the Sharks manager would have none of it. The visitors took the lead midway thru the first half after the Sharks failed to clear the ball off a corner and the goal came from the resulting melee in the six-yard area which left Sharks custodian Isa with no chance. The early setback coupled with several poor passes meant that the Sharks needed something special to level the game before half-time. The answer came from Heng Li with a fantastic volley (or was it meant to be a cross?) right at the edge of the box and the visitors custodian were left stranded. The second-half started with the Sharks being reverted back to their tried and tested formation. It was a much more balanced side that took the game to the visitors. They were unlucky however not to take the lead against the run of play when Isa somehow fumbled a routine ball with no pressure from anyone. However the visitor's forward could only shoot wide of the empty net. That was the only scare the Sharks had for most of the duration of the game before Heng Li grab another cynical goal to secure the game for the Sharks.
