Bad run set to continue 19/02/06
Sharks bad run in the Clementeers League looks set to continue after X-ray results done on Li’s troublesome ankle revealed that he will miss up to 4 weeks of competitive action. His absence will mean that he will join a long list of players out such as Salihin, Aaron Foo, Aaron Huang, Irman, and Sarhan due to various injuries and personal issues. The worrying trend has to be in defence where they formed the bulk of the absentees and it’s no surprise it coincide with their worst period in the club history.
The manager currently remains in limbo as to whether it’s prudent to continue with the coming weekend fixtures in view of the lack of backups in defence but one thing for sure, their bad run looks set to continue with the exclusion of these players but at the same time, it certainly will provide an opportunity for the rest of the players to stand up and be counted in the absence of these players.
